One of the most unique churches in Moldova in Causheni is going to be restored.

In the near future one of the most unique churches in Moldova, which has been closed for visitors almost one hundred years, is going to be restored. The restoration project has been recently approved by the Ministry of Culture.
The restoration works is to be allocated the amount of nearly 20 million lei.

Causheni Assumption Church is a monument of international importance. It was built in the 17Th  Century, and its walls are decorated with frescoes, which have not lost their colour even after almost 300 years.

The iconostasis is located directly on the wall. In the foreground there represented the main church holidays, they are followed by apostles and then prophets.

The whole architectural complex is planned to be restored.

Currently the church is on the balance of the National Art Museum.
