Reconstruction and construction of irrigation systems in 10 localities of Moldova on the rivers Prut and Dniester will be announced as a project of national importance. This decision was taken by the Moldovan government and the draft law has been already approved.

There are 10 villages installations where irrigation systems are planned to be installed: Chircani, Zirnesti, Leova Sud, Grozesti, Blinesti, Puhaceni, Roscani, Cosnita, Jora de Jos, Criuleni and Lopatca.

This project is part of the program Compact Corporation "Millennium Challenges" from America.

The government, after the adoption of the law, will be entitled to the expropriation of the land and buildings, which are at the area of the installation of irrigation systems, according to technical project. The fund "Millennium Challenges of Moldova" will reimburse the owners any damage concerning reconstruction and construction of the irrigation system.

The cost of reconstruction will be about 80 million dollars.
