The River Bîc can be cleaned of silt without harm to any living organisms. This is the conclusion of the Academy of Sciences. The city budget has allocated 3 million lei for cleaning up the river, but this is only enough for one km however the length of the channel in Chisinau is more than 20 km. In Albisoara Street there is going to be built a water collector for rainwater for the road not to be flooded any longer.

Roman Sofroni, Head of Capital Construction claimed: "That what we had said before has been confirmed: no harm there, there wasn’t a single dead fish. Now the report is in the Ministry of Environment, it must be examined and approved. Apă-Canal has moved the pipeline, now we will elevate the banks. According to the project, rainwater from Pushkin Street near the bridge will fall into the new collector, thus, more water will be drained."
