The Republican Puppet Theatre "Licurici" ("Firefly") is a cultural and spiritual center, which offers performances for all age groups.

It is distinguished by the highest professionalism and innovative artistic forms of expression, which annually attracts up to 90,000 spectators. During the theater season Licurici plays more than 500 performances on the native scene as well as abroad.

Over 68 years the theater has staged more than 315 performances based on world-famous works: GH Andersen, the Brothers Grimm, Carlo Collodi, AS Exupery, George. Rodari, AS Pushkin, NV Gogol, V. Doroshevich, E. Schwarz, Gr. Vieru, Mihai Eminescu, Ion Creanga.
