There is unfortunately not a great deal of information known about the temple of Cosnita village. The first appearance of the church dates from the early XX century. Being somewhat grand in its architecture and size the church was laid in 1903, but finished only in 1913. The church was mentioned in the documents of the Great Patriotic War. The cloister however did suffer in the fighting of 1944 and again in 1992 years. However, the events of May 1944 were the worst as it was serving as an observatory and for this reason it was heavily shelled by the defending Germans.
