For more than ten years at the Technical Center for Children and Youth there is a museum of astronautics. Moldova at due time also contributed to the exploration of space, but unfortunately not everyone knows about that.

A good example would be, the fact that Moldova delivers astronauts vegetable and fruit dishes of freeze drying that is a unique development of the Moldovan scientists.

The museum has many authentic, flown in space, exhibits (details of a real spaceship – bushing, hatch fragments, instrument that defines the height, pressure and temperature at the entrance of the ship port into the atmosphere, the device orientation to Earth, a piece of non-combustible covering of Valentina Tereshkova’s lander).

The tour guide will certainly tell you the history of the collet pen “КиМеК” invented at the Chisinau mechanical plant, such pen is still used in space.

In the museum you can see the device for production of biomass in orbit "Oasis" - another unique development of Moldovan scientists. Out of "space meat" that had been grown with the help of the device cosmonaut Lebedev cooked meatballs on "Soyuz-13".

Here is also exposed reusable film which is a prototype of digital media used in space, invented by Moldovan scientists under the direction of Lev Moiseevich Panasyuk, there are photographs taken by this film as well.
