National Army – is one of the most important institutions of the state national security. Being the most important attribute of statehood, the National Army successfully perform complex tasks to improve internal and external security of the state, protection of borders and objects of national significance. Ordinary soldiers and officer ship every day improve their level of combat and tactical skills.
National Army, which annually calls up about 3,000 of youths, plays a vital role in citizens educating in the spirit of patriotism. Statutory national military service – is not only a sacred and constitutional duty of the country. Nowadays military service offers a real chance for socialization.
In the field of the international sphere, the National Army of Moldova cooperates with the UN, the OSCE, the Organization of the Black Sea Cooperation and others. The important point for the National Army is participation of Moldova in the NATO project "Partnership for Peace". The document was signed on March 16, in 1994 in Brussels, thereby Moldova became the 12th state that joined this program.
National Army Day – is a good reason to pay tribute to those who served and serves the motherland, showing deep love and selfless devotion to the Republic of Moldova.
