Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance has lifted the ban on import of meat products from Moldova

Restrictions on the supply of meat to Russia from the 27th January have been lifted.

The report of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance explained the reason for lifting the restrictions by "received materials of the investigation and measures taken to eliminate detected violations, the results of laboratory tests of products, as well as guarantees of the National Agency for Food Safety of Moldova under the animal health requirements of the Customs Union and the Russian Federation.

The decision to lift the ban on imports, relates directly to the Moldovan enterprise "Antadro" where in one of the batches of meat were found illegal and harmful substances.

At the moment, about 10 Moldovan enterprises have the right to export meat products to Russia
