Production of champagne and cognac in the Republic of Moldova has been halved due to the current prohibition of supply of wine production in the Russian Federation.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in the I half of 2014, compared with the same period of 2013, the production of cognac in the country decreased by 55.5%.
