Moldovan small rivers could disappear

Moldovan small rivers may disappear. Almost half of them are dried up. Because of this, the level of waters in the rivers Prut and Dniester is much lower than the normal degree.

Experts confirm that rivers dry up due to lack of rainfall, irrational use of water and heat.

We are talking about the use of water for irrigation and the construction of dams for flood warning. Another reason - is the illegal construction of reservoirs. Because of this, dry wells and springs, disappeare underwater flora and fauna, and as the result there is a degradation of soil.

More than 3,500 small rivers are rinning through the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
