PCRM is suing the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova. The reason for the action was the registration of the Communist Party of the Reformers by the Ministry, as it is claimed that the symbols of the new party are identical to the symbols of the Communist Party - hammer and sickle.

According to representatives of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova, it contradicts the "Law of Political Parties", which says that "the full name, abbreviated name and symbols of the political party should be different from the names and symbols of other parties, previously registered in the Republic of Moldova."

Such a coincidence may mislead citizens on the eve of the election.
