Today, the heads of the EU diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Moldova meet with candidates for the post of Governor of Gagauzia. Officials will discuss the situation in the region and the necessary steps to destabilize it.

On 11 candidates apply for the post of head of autonomy, elections will be held on March 22.

Governor of Gagauzia is elected for a term of 4 years, he can not hold this position for more than two consecutive terms.
