Parliament passed a bill on countering extremist activity

Yesterday, in the first reading the Parliament passed a bill on countering extremist activity.

The project aims at increasing the powers of the Information and Security Service. In this regard, the Information and Security Service is empowered to temporarily block the local sites containing separatist or extremist information.

And the authors of the initiative are going to forbid registering og extremist associations. The bill provides for the establishment of so-called security mandate, which gives the right to the Information and Security Service of phones conversations wiretapping, as well as video and audio observation and monitoring.
