Today Leanca, our Prime Minister, is celebrating his birthday. Head of the government is 51 years of age. The prime minister was born in Cimişlia, he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

Leanca speaks Romanian, Russian, English, French, Hungarian and Bulgarian. He started his career in the Soviet era as an employee of the Foreign Ministry.

Since 1998 Leancă was a deputy minister of foreign affairs, and 11 years later became the head of the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. April 23, 2013 Timofti signed a decree appointing Leanca Acting Prime Minister, and on 30th May he was approved at the position. Prime Minister is married and has three children.
