Centre for Cybercrime at the Interior Ministry by the US government has provided a gift of special equipment and advanced software worth more than half a million lei.

The resulting technique is used by center staff to conduct investigations of offenses in cyberspace, digital evidence collection and storage of the data collected.

In the press release from the Interior Ministry said: "The US government has made a significant contribution to the development of technical skills and capabilities of identifying and solving crimes through the use of information technology."
