Celebrations will be held on the Great National Assembly Square. So, Stefan cel Mare Boulevard from Bodoni Street to Pushkin Street will be closed; traffic will be redirected to other routes.

On Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova, the government organizes a cultural program, which includes a parade of ethno-folk groups. Participants will march at 9:00 am from the square of the Opera and Ballet Theatre to the Central Square of the Capital.

By order of Chirtoaca, during the holidays retailers are prohibited from trading pastries containing cream, but the sale of beer is allowed, soft drinks, ice cream and coffee will also be sold.
