
The decision to install a commemorative memorial plaque in the house in which he lived, was made back in 2003. This initiative was "updated" by the Jewish community of Moldova.
Lazarus Isaacovich Dubinovsky (1910-1982) was a portrait sculptor, he is the author of the equestrian statue of Gregory Kotovsky, and a series of busts of classical authors of Moldovan and Romanian literature such as: Costache Negruzzi, Mihai Eminescu, Gheorghe Asachi, Vasile Alexandri, as well as monument erected in honour of the liberation of Moldova from the Nazis, Chisinau sculptures titled "Requiem", the Bucharest monument to the victims of Nazism and many other works.
