This year would be 80 years since the birth of the poet Grigore Vieru. In February, in  Moldova are held a series of cultural events to mark the anniversary of the poet.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture, subordinate institutions, as well as the Writers' Union of Moldova.

List of events:

February 13 (15:00) at the National Museum of Literature M. Kogalniceanu is held vernissage of the exhibition of books, documents and photos «Generaţia şaizecistă».

(16:00) in the House of Writers held a symposium «Grigore Vieru and his generation: Liviu Damian, Petru Cărare, Serafim Saka, Arhip Cibotaru and the others».

February 14 (10:00) ceremony of laying flowers at the bust of Grigore Vieru on the Alley of Classics and the grave of the poet in the Central Cemetery.
                     (15:00) at the National Theatre Mihai Eminescu will host an evening of music and literature.
                      (17:00) at the Great Hall of the National Philharmonic in Chisinau will be presented musical and poetic show «Heritage», in Cahul and the Palace of Culture - the play «Grigore Vieru tribute of gratitude».

February 15 (12:00) in the National Children's Library Ion Creanga, will be a meeting for children «Vieru of mine».
                     (18:00) in the Organ Hall will present the cantata «Good morning, Sun» by composer Eugen Mammoth on poems by Grigore Vieru.

February 19 (15:00) at the National Library will host a presentation of the book «The man of Sunday».
                     (16:00) at the National Library will host the opening of the exhibition «Secret that Protects Me».

February 20 (11:00) at the National Art Museum will host an exhibition of Moldova within the children's workshop.

February 21 (17:00) at the National Palace Nicolae Sulak held show «At Friday`s Star, in commemoration of Grigore Vieru» completes a series of cultural events dedicated to the memory of the poet.
