The new statute of the Education Code has entered into force in Moldova. In accordance with this provision, contracts of employment entered into with the managers of educational institutions, not selected on a competitive basis, will be terminated.

According to preliminary data, in the near future, more than a thousand of headmasters will be dismissed.

However, the regulations do not prohibit the current director who comply with the requirements to apply for the position of the head of the educational institution.
