Former Deputy Minister of Health Ion Mereuta said that the Ministry of Health of Moldova misled people by announcing that the administration will compensate for patients the money spent by them on medication. Mereuta also explained that at the moment there is no legal and regulatory framework that would allow patients to return the spent money. In addition, the former Deputy Minister of Health suggested that any inspection of the Accounts Chamber and the Financial Supervision Authority wil end with santions of hospital managers.

According to some politicians, the Ministry of Health, make these kids of statements, inevitably provokes conflicts between patients and hospital administration.
