Yesterday traffic police conducted an operation called "Alive Pedestrian". The aim of the event was to increase the level of discipline of pedestrians, as well as reduce the risk of accidents involving them.

Traffic police warn drivers that those who do not give way to cyclists and pedestrians will be fined 200 lei, or 2 penalty points.

Pedestrians who ignore traffic signs, and cross the road in the wrong place will receive a warning or will also be punished with a fine. The size of the fine can be up to 200 lei.
