Moldovan national team debut in the European Championship matches for 2016 was unsuccessful. Supported by Ion Caras lost by 0-2 to team from Montenegro in Podgorica match. Our team had a couple of good opportunities to score in the second half of match, but to score the goal to Vukasin Poleksicha - failed. In other meetings of G - Russia won 4-0 against Liechtenstein, Austria and Sweden played in a draw in Vienna with a score of 1-1.

The first position in the group, after the first stage, takes with three-points Russia, in the second place is Montenegro with the same amount of points. In the third and fourth places are - Austria and Sweden - each team one point. Standings close the Liechtenstein and Moldova. On October 9 in Chisinau, Moldova will be held the next meeting with Austria.
