At the conference, held in the framework of IT-Summit, the Moldovan authorities have proposed to open specialised IT-parks.

Minister of Information Technologies and Communications, Paul Philip, said: "The key element is that park residents will pay a single tax, with a simple and clear mechanism of administration. They will also be exempted from VAT payment and duties on imported equipment".

The parks will operate on a virtual basis.

Information and Communication Technology Sector is about 10% of GDP.
