Moldovan winemakers are asked to support local producers

Winemaking companies are asked to buy more grapes from local producers.

Iurie Leanca is ready to make such an appeal today at the meeting with the winemakers.

The government failed to approve the compensation  plan to farmers who have suffered from the embargo. This happened due to the fact that the parties failed to agree on volumes and prices of agricultural products, after companies underpriced apples.

Moldova, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, produces annually more than half a million tons of wine grapes. 100 thousand of them are collected on lands that belong to the wineries, from private owners is received the same amount. In 2013, were functioning only 60 of the 150 plants of the grapes processing.
