This week in Moldova online services which will allow people in Moldova to make an appointment with the family doctor will be tested.. The Ministry of Health intends in the near future to run the service, and then gradually expand it. According to the plan, before the end of the year the online system will operate in all 272 medical institutions of the country.

The Head of the e-transformation of the Ministry of Health, Alexander Rosioru said: "We have launched the testing, it is not yet visible on the Internet, but the company, which implements the system has already developed a solution. The system is being checked in the medical institutions of the capital, as well as Trusheni, Durleshti, Dondushanah, Cahul and Ungheni. Work is implemented in accordance with the schedule, and this week the system will be available in the pilot institutions."

The program is being developed in parallel with the creation of the electronic patient card. Soon, all the steps - from check-in to the making of the electronic patient card will be made electronically.

The project costs 19 million lei.
