In the Republic of Moldova will be able to do surgery operations for marrow transplantation. Such opportunities appeared due to the opening of the repaired hematology building in the Institute of oncology.

Academician Ion Corchmary said that currently 50 patients in the country are in need of such an operation.

The Health Ministry says that reconstruction works lasted eight months and cost about 9.5 million lei. Funds were allocated by budget profile departments of Oncology Institute, as well as national health insurance company. There also will be able to undergo the rehabilitation treatment the people suffering from leukemia. Patients with such a diagnosis are more than 4 thousand people in Moldova, among them one in ten – is a child.
