Yesterday 19 acres of wheat near the village Maramonovka, Drochia district, went up in flames and burned. Firefighters were trying to extinguish the fire for several hours; 200 hectares of crops has it appears been rescued.

According to preliminary version, the fire broke out due to a fault in the wiring of a car parked on the edge of the field. The car caught fire and the fire spread to the crops.
