All citizens of the former Soviet Union will be able to obtain Russian passports

Vice Speaker of State Duma Alexander Zhukov said on the first channel in the program "Posner" that the Russian government had prepared a draft law which will enable all citizens of the former USSR to acquire Russian citizenship but not only ethnic Russian and Ukrainians as it was before.

ITAR-TASS reports that the plan to give citizenship to all for whom Russian is the mother tongue, and who had / have relatives living on the territory of the former Soviet Union.
