This year school-leavers will enter universities of Moldova under new rules. First, students will be divided into rural and urban, and will not be taken into account their linguistic affiliation. Lower places will be allocated based on average scores.

Professor, MSU, Igor Verlan explained: "There is going to be a general competition for all applicants this year. Second, there will be no more divisions on the language basis of studying."
By next year, the Ministry of Education is preparing to introduce an electronic filing system of admission documents. Applicants will submit documents using the internet.
