Moldovan railway is going to be modernized

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has allocated to upgrade the railway Moldova a loan of 52 million euros. For the provision of funds will be made the purchase of locomotives and the modernization of the railway infrastructure.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Leanca, said: "This money will go to purchase about ten multipurpose locomotives and rehabilitation of railway infrastructure, improve the management of the company, to reduce energy consumption and costs."

Credit under two per cent per annum, granted for a period of 15 years with a grace period of three years.
