Lidia Minzu, the doctor of Municipal Public Health Center noted that the Public Health Center does not recommend swimming in the lakes and sunbathing on the beach. People who do it are at risk of getting bacterial meningitis.

The city workers engaged in service housing state that the lakes and beaches are polluted by vacationers.

Chisinau numbers only seven lakes, for their maintenance during the current year there were allocated 300 thousand lei.
