Kirike Shkopul – is a day off for people working on the ground. This day is dedicated to the popular God that brings fires, which imitates the day of St. Martyr Kirike on July 15. In order people did not suffer a psychological illness; they do not work on this day. According to popular belief and tradition, if that day you are not going to work, then you will save the house from fire, crop from hail, and herds of animals from disease.
On this day, it is only allowed to pick wormwood for making brooms.
