Knowledge Day in Moldova is traditionally celebrated on the 1st September.
Primarily this holiday is for first graders and freshmen, for those who are entering into a really new phase of their lives. Of course this is a special day for those who pass the next step on the long road of knowledge.
Traditionally, the day begins with a solemn parade, which is dedicated to the beginning of the school year. Especially graders are looking very funny, surprised faces of children and focused on something very special, they have huge bouquets of flowers in their hands.
In Moldova, there are more than 1,500 primary and comprehensive education institutions.
Knowledge Day is celebrated not only in our country but also in other countries - Russia Federation, the Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, etc.
