The Russian Embassy in Moldova supported the initiative of the Jewish community of the Moldova Republic to restore the monument "Victims of fascism” on the eve of the 65th anniversary of Victory over fascism.

Monument "Victims of fascism” in the capital of our country is the work of the renowned artist and sculptor David Aurel.

It was created in 1991 and installed on the place of mass execution of the Jews, Gypsies, Russian and Moldovan by the Nazi invaders. The monument is located in the Old Post area Rishkani sector.

Memorials to the Victims of Nazism , Fascism or the Holocaust are spread in the public domain throughout all Moldova in the capital Chisinau, Orhei, Balti, Rybnita, Soroca, Bender, Perepenah. They have different forms and shapes, sculptors, but the only one goal - to prevent people of forgetting that evil and terror that hit fascism.
