In comparison with the year 2013 in the first quarter of 2014 exports to Russia declined by almost 40%. However, Moldova is trying to increase trade turnover with EU countries.

Moreover, from January to March, exports and imports in neighboring Ukraine also decreased by 5 and 10%.

Deliveries of our products to Romania increased by 13%, to Germany - 60% and Italy - 78%. Import from the above countries also on the rise: Germany - 22%, Italy 19% and Romania -8%.

In general the country's trade balance in the first quarter of this year has not changed.
