Moldovan Iasi-Ungeni section of the gas pipeline will be managed by a separate state-run enterprise.

The Cabinet of Ministers has now approved the project in accordance with which the Moldovan section of the pipeline Iasi-Ungeni will be managed by a separate state enterprise. At present the project is under consideration by the Parliament.

Task of creating a company is assigned to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Moldova.

Minister of RM Economy Valeriu Lazar said: "Our objective is to establish such a company. Its authorised capital will be eight million lei. SOE will manage our section of the pipeline Iasi-Ungeni".

The project costs about eight million lei. According to the plan, the pipeline will be brought into operation in August this year.
