National Health Forum is going to be held in Chisinau

The following week, October 23-24, there will be held the 3rd National Health Forum in Chisinau. The event is organized in partnership with the World Health Organization, with the financial support of the EU Delegation to Moldova and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The official opening ceremony will be attended by the President of the Republic of Moldova Nicolae Timofti, Prime Minister Leanca, Vice-Chairman of the Parliament Liliana Palihovici and Health Minister Andrei Usatii. In addition, it is expected participation of the representative of the World Health Organization in the Republic of Moldova Yarno Habicea, EU Ambassador to Moldova Pirkko Tapiola and SDC representative in Moldova Simon Giger.

At the first day of the forum there will be analyzed the results of the health system in 2013-2014 and commitments for the next period. In addition, we consider the main directions of development in the field of health, to ensure sustainable development and reducing inequalities in this area. The second day of the forum will be dedicated to topics related to improve the management system, the quality and safety of health services, funding programs, designed to adapt the health system to the needs of the population. The experts will also discuss personnel issues in the context of healthcare reform.
