European Central Bank introduced a new banknote of 20 euros, and announced the date of its release into circulation.

All denominations of the new series, titled "Europe" will have enhanced protection against counterfeiting, as well as on the new map image of the European Union.

Banknotes old series will leave in circulation, but will gradually withdraw from circulation.
