This is how a solar eclipse looks through the TUM telescope

On March 20th many people have taken the advantage and observed astronomical events online at http://live.utm.md/index.html, and see what and how astronomers see through a telescope.

It was very interesting to watch as a bright green background with semicircles darkened as the moon was blocking the sun and then a couple of seconds of total darkness the picture began to lighten. Although the entire "crown" which is formed by the full solar eclipse was not seen, the spectacle was certainly exciting.
