MAEIE Head, Natalia Gherman, said: "This year, Moldova by means of KFOR contingent has contributed to the successful execution of NATO missions to maintain security and stability on the European continent. Because of this we are invited to the summit and the alliance for the first time. I hope we have now more than ever all the prerequisites to count on the solidarity of the alliance."

However it is worth to mention that Moldova is a neutral party, this is enshrined in the Constitution.
