Head of Mission in the Republic of Moldova in NATO Mihai Gribincea, said: "The office will help the Alliance to receive first-hand information about the events in Moldova. Furthermore, the presence of the NATO office in RM will help to identify areas in which Moldova needs in order to help to reform the defence and security sector, will help to successfully implement ongoing NATO projects in the country."
It will take a few months to open the office.
As for Moldova's neutral status, then according to the politician, it should not be an obstacle in NATO and the Republic cooperation.
