In orbit appears new satellite ensembled in Moldova

In the Technical University of Moldova is about to end he twork on the satellite called "Republic of Moldova". Launch is scheduled after the necessary laboratory tests. The main thing now is to find the missing funds. The satellite weighs almost 11 kg, and to launch just one kilogram is needed 25 thousand euros.

The satellite was placed in a simulator to determine and verify its position in orbit. The prototype will be ready to start immediately after the laboratory tests.

Laboratory Director of satellite design - Sergiu Gandraman said: "Almost all things are ready. The satellite has already been assembled, but we still conduct tests. They need to do in vacuo and under special temperature conditions. But in any factory in Moldova such conditions do not exist. "

And a telescope is also ready which will track the trajectory of the satellite.

Construction of the satellite started in 2009, it will be used for environmental and resource data.
