Since January 2014 the traffic police will start round-the-clock surveillance of traffic throughout the capital. Head of the Department of Information Technology of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Dan Kiritse said that such cameras will also be installed throughout the country.

Numerous different cameras mounted at Chisinau intersections will be monitoring the roads some of them will be watching the traffic, some - taking notes of violations, others will be scanning car registration numbers.

The cameras will record such violations as: unbelted, speeding, running a red light and illegal parking. Violators will be send letters with information about where and when they violated traffic rules and the size of the fine.

It will be possible to get the video verification only upon request. Map Point will map the locations of radars and cameras.
