Director of the National Agency of vehicles Postica Julian said: "Last week, in conjunction with the Tax Inspectorate and the National Inspectorate of patrols we conducted a spot check in Chisinau. In seven cases we had to use such measures as the deprivation of the right to drive the car. We intend to carry out such checks every week".
Violators face fines of up to 4 million lei, and deprivation of the right to drive a car up to six months.
