New Regulations for Public Organizations

Yesterday, the Government has approved a bill amending the Law on Associations, the Law of Trade Unions, the Law on Patronage, the Law of Foundations.

According to the new regulations, public organizations and non – profit organizations can be based with no less that three its members. Authorities are trying to increase the transparency of the activities of NGOs, so the rules of publicity of these organizations should be set out in the statute.

Associations will be required to submit annual progress reports.

This project is part of the Government's Action Plan for 2014, which aims to bring the legal framework for the functioning of non-profit organizations.
