Yestarday there was the 26 anniversary since the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. At the memorial complex "Sons of the Fatherland - the sacred memory" in honor of this date there were laid flowers. Many politicians and war veterans took part in the procession in memory of the fallen.

The participants of the war in Afghanistan told of a time when they were forced to fight on foreign land.

With a heavy heart military recalled the dead comrades.

More than 13 thousand citizens of Moldova participated in the Afghan war which lasted 10 years. More than 300 of our compatriots were killed, 4 missing and thousands seriously injured.
