Decision of the Council of the heads of CIS on December 5, 2012 in the framework of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, will be held the Relay of Victory.

This event is organised to commemorate the exploits of border guards - the Great Patriotic War, will run along the external borders of the CIS from 2 February to 28 May 2015.

However, the relay will be held not in all the former Soviet republics who participated in World War II, so the baton will bypass Ukraine and Moldova.

The ceremony of completion Relay Victory is held on May 28, 2015 in Moscow.
